The brakes of a camper trailer should be adjusted appropriately so that they will function to their optimum. Brakes are essential features in any vehicle and when these features are not functioning well might cause detrimental accidents. The signs of poorly adjusted brakes are when they grab causing the tires to skid and when it is not functioning at all. Therefore, it is important to do the necessary adjustments when these things happen.
To adjust the brakes of a camper trailer, make sure to work on one wheel at a time. Start by chocking the tires on the opposite side of the trailer. Afterwards, put a scissor or hydraulic jack underneath the rear axle then raise the jack to the pint that the tire is an inch off the ground. Then find the rubber access plug on the brake backing plate to pry it out using a flat blade screwdriver. Do the succeeding steps properly.
